About the job Boilermaker | Brazing Welder Technician

The purpose of this position is to coordinate the completion of projects by the workshop team. The role is performed in close collaboration with the sales, production coordinator and machining teams. This role is a hands-on role. That is: you will be required to not only coordinate the work of others, but also meet production expectations for your own work.
Duties Include:
Ensuring a high standard of fabricated product is provided to the clientsClient orders are completed within the clients required delivery timeEnsuring a collaborative environment is maintained between the production, machining, sales and dispatch teams.The efficient operation of the fabrication workshop to achieve company objectives and client expectations.
Monitoring and managing production activities of the fabrication teamIdentifying and Reporting production delays / issues with the production scheduleEnsuring the production schedule is maintained and updated on a daily basisCommunicating effectively with direct reports and supervisorsEnsuring a high standard of product is produced that meets and or exceeds customer expectationsEnsuring compliance with company policy and relevant legislation and regulations
Skills and Competencies 
Cert III in Engineering Fabrication Previous experience working in a Job Shop environment Experience managing a production team Ability to mentor and train apprentices and lesser skilled staff Good communication and negotiation skills
Complete knowledge of steel fabrication tools and processes Workplace Health & Safety legislation relevant to a fabrication environment Interpreting drawings and designs necessary to meet client expectations
