Plan, Maintain and ImproveWe are looking for a reliable and conscientious Maintenance Fitter/Welder to join our Clarence Quarry team. The Clarence Quarry is located approximately 15 minutes outside of Lithgow in the NSW Blue Mountains.This role will report directly to the Quarry Supervisor and work closely with the Quarry Leading Hand and maintenance contractors. Maintenance works may range from programmed maintenance schedules, shutdowns, reactive maintenance tasks, which will encompass minor fabrication, organization of resources and supervising and conducting repairs. This role will support and ensure work is done proficiently, within commercial time frames, and in adherence to Hanson policies and directives.As a Quarry Maintenance Fitter/Welder with Hanson, your day on site will start at 5am and wrap up around 2pm, Monday to Friday, but there is overtime available, including Saturday work.In your new role, you will:
Perform daily fixed plant inspections, identify & repair faults.
Ensure all plant and equipment is operating well within the statutory requirements.
Ensure adequate records are maintained and report all incidents.
Advise on improvements that can be made to maintenance tasks and processes or plant performance.
Ensure workshop stock levels of components and consumables are maintained to support the scheduled/planned work.

 Assist with plant housekeeping activities, maintain a clean & safe workshop environment. (5S Housekeeping Standards)

This role is a great fit for you, if:
Quarry / Mining Industry experience (preferred).
You have previous experience in general fixed plant maintenance.
You have a trade qualification and fabrication experience.
You hold a certification or competency in welding
You enjoy analyzing and troubleshooting issues and problems.
