Monday to Thursday (0600am-1630pm) + potential overtime hours

The Opportunity
Austal are seeking Painters/Blasters with industrial and/or automotive industry background.
 
What’s involved

Blast operations using garnet abrasive.
Use of dry and wet film thickness gauges
Confined space blasting and Painting activities
Qualifications to work from EWP’s.
Ability to follow application processes to specified thickness.

 
You’ll need

Hold a Construction safety induction (white card)
Spray-painting skills using conventional and airless systems
Knowledge of a range of paint products
Perform stripe coating by brush and roller.
Strong safety focus and awareness.
Ability to use power tools and Paint/blast equipment safely.
Shipyard experience is an advantage.
